Dr. Jamilah Motala, D. Clin. Psy (UK)

Clinical Psychologist

"My aim is to support you through a process of hope, empowerment and experiential growth using guiding principles of kindness and honesty.”

I believe that every individual brings a uniqueness that is deserving of a personalised approach in therapy.  My style of working, therefore, is dedicated to offering a variety of psychological modalities in order to assist clients through their journey.  I have found that this integrative framework increases the likelihood of greater successful treatment outcomes and enriches the individual’s experience of engaging in therapy.  I am committed to ensuring that your experience during therapy enables you to feel reassured about accessing professional support.

I am a British Chartered Clinical Psychologist, educated in the UK and qualified since 2006. I have worked across both outpatient and inpatient mental health services within the NHS and the independent sector.

Prior to joining The LightHouse Arabia, I was employed as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist.  My clinical specialty is with adults of working age, which extends to supporting their carers and families.  I have worked with a range of mental health difficulties of varying degrees of complexity and risk.  This includes individuals from a forensic background.  I have extensive experience of supporting healthcare professionals through providing clinical supervision, facilitating training and management.
