Getting the most out of your session

It is common for those new to therapy to feel both eager to begin, and uncomfortable about beginning the process of therapy. We encourage you to not let any feelings of awkwardness keep you from beginning what you know will be in your long-term best interest. If you have questions and require answers before this appointment, please call or email us so that we can discuss these. As with most situations in life, you will likely find that as you forge ahead, your worries will quickly lessen. Over the years, our clients have found it very helpful to think about what they want to get from treatment or therapy. Please make some notes about your goals and what is most important to you, so that this can be discussed when we meet.

DURATION OF FIRST APPOINTMENT

The first appointment will take 50 – 60 minutes. We kindly request that you arrive 15 minutes early to complete some information forms

RESCHEDULING

If you are absolutely unable to keep this appointment, please reschedule it at least 48-hours in advance by calling +971(0)4 380 9298 or our clinic mobile: +971(0)50 473 3563.

INSURANCE

In order for us to serve you best, please call your insurance provider to check if Psychotherapy is covered under your plan. If it is, please bring a claim form that our clinicians will complete after the first or second appointment. We do not provide direct billing, thus, you will be required to pay first and then get reimbursed by your insurance company.

YOUR CLIENT PRIVILEGES

As a valued client, you will receive:

  • Preferential booking for other LightHouse services, such as seminars and workshops
  • Priority placement at the top of our appointment list when resuming services with one of our clinicians
  • 50% discount on one Tween Talk session for 9 – 12 year olds (AED 125 value)
  • Free 60-minute talk delivered by one of our clinicians on a topic of interest to your communitygroup or workplace (AED 4,750 value)
  • Please note, clients who have not engaged in therapy for a period of 6 months are considered inactive clients
